Greetings from the West!
With the momentum of 2011 we’re well on our way in meeting our Capital Funds goal. In addition to the over $20,000 already committed to our Porch Tile project, we have two more major fund raising efforts coming up -- Yangku Doodle, a standup comedy by Brother Bernardo Bernardo on March 24; and our annual golf tournament on March 31. Brother Bernardo will definitely make everyone laugh. Bring your family and friends for an evening of entertainment and fellowship. Our annual Golf Tournament is the first for the year among area Masonic Lodges. Not only for Coronado Lodge’s projects, it’s also to support the Grand Lodge’ assistance to California students in their reading programs.
We also have ongoing raffles and donation box passed around in our gatherings. Even small amounts for tickets or dropping into the box add up quickly. So, do not hesitate.
With regards to our centennial celebration, RW John Cooper who will be the Grand Master during our centennial year has committed to attend. He responded positively to my follow up and promised to commit to one of the dates we provided, and soon. Amity Lodge 442, also celebrating their centennial in the same period would like to do something jointly with us. I will keep you posted with the latest.
