From The EAST

Greetings from the East!

First off, I want to again thank everyone for your kind words of support as your new officers and I start the 2012 masonic year. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of those who attended our installation. We had a great event and I think everyone had a great time. This event could not have been such a success without the help and leadership of many talented and dedicated people including my Installing Team: WB Edgar C. Faralan, Installing Officer, WB Cesar V. Betita, Master of Ceremonies, WB Manolito P. Ramirez, Installing Chaplain, WB Kelly Medina for being the Installing Organist, and the San Diego Naval Medical Center Color Guards for presenting the flag of our country.

I would also like to thank my wife, Piay for all her unconditional support and helping me to prepare mentally and focused for the installation. As you can see this momentous occasion may only happen once in my life time so I will make sure that the memories will be cherished and will last forever. And lasting indeed with the installation photos professionally done by our event official photographer; Brother James Rualo. Please view our Lodge Officer’s picture board and see the difference for yourselves, thank you Bro. James, well done.

The year 2012 has gotten off to a good start for Coronado Lodge starting with the Grand Lodge Officer Reception during the January’s Stated Meeting followed by the two conferral degrees. My congratulations to Brother Dan Feliciano for being passed to the degree of Fellow Craft and Brother Jeffrey Navarro for being initiated to Entered Apprentice degree. These brothers received excellent degrees and I tip my hat off to the officers and brothers who helped made it happened.

As we look ahead on this month’s schedule, how fitting it is that our Annual Sweetheart Ball falls on Tuesday, February 14th, Valentine’s Day. I encourage the membership with their significant others to attend. Refreshments will be provided by the Lodge. I request everybody to wear something in red to complement the event.

Lastly, the lodge will be hosting the 917th Masonic District’s School of Instruction (DOSI) on Feb. 21 stand we are tasked to exemplify the first section of Fellow Craft Degree. With Coronado Lodge’s high standard of excellence in degree conferrals, we’ll show the rest of the district how it’s done, the right way. The event is not limited to Lodge Officers only, so I encourage and invite all Master Masons to attend and get first hand information and enhance their knowledge about Freemansory in general.

Sincerely and fraternally,
Ron Mendoza
Master
